Terms of service
These terms govern access to the Rathinam Global deemed to be University faculty and staff recruitment portal. They create rules for using the service; they do not guarantee employment.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account or using the portal, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be legally capable of entering this agreement and ordinarily at least 18 years old. If you do not agree, do not create an account or submit an application.
2. Purpose of the portal
The portal lets candidates create a profile, apply for available positions, upload supporting material, receive recruitment communications, and track progress. A submission, status label, interview, or communication is not an offer of employment. Only a formally authorised written offer can create an employment commitment.
3. Your account
- Provide complete, accurate, and current information and update it when it changes.
- Keep your password and verification codes confidential and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
- Use one account for yourself and do not impersonate another person or allow another person to submit misleading information for you.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to apply reasonable security.
4. Acceptable use
You must not probe or bypass security, scrape or overload the service, upload malware, interfere with another user, use automated submissions without permission, submit unlawful or infringing material, or attempt to access candidate or staff data without authorisation. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access reasonably necessary to protect the portal, its users, or the recruitment process.
5. Candidate content
You retain ownership of documents and information you submit. You grant the University a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, copy, review, and share that material internally and with contracted service providers solely for recruitment, verification, security, legal compliance, and related administration. You confirm that your submissions are truthful and that you have permission to provide third-party information such as referee details.
6. Recruitment decisions
Applications are assessed under the University’s recruitment needs and applicable policies. Positions may be changed, paused, or withdrawn. The University may verify qualifications, experience, references, and documents with appropriate notice or consent. Material misrepresentation may result in rejection, withdrawal of an offer, or other lawful action.
7. Availability and electronic communications
We aim to keep the portal available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, security events, provider outages, or circumstances beyond reasonable control may affect access. You agree to receive service and recruitment communications electronically at the contact details you provide; keep them current and check spam folders for time-sensitive messages.
8. Privacy and security
Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy. Do not email passwords or OTPs to staff. If you discover a security issue, report it privately to admission@rathinam.in and do not exploit or publicly disclose candidate data.
9. Intellectual property
The portal software, University branding, layout, and original content are owned by or licensed to the University. You may use them only as needed to access the recruitment service. No licence to copy, publish, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit them is granted except where mandatory law permits.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the portal is provided for recruitment administration without a guarantee of selection, response time, or continuous availability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or statutory data-protection duties.
11. Suspension and closure
You may stop using the portal and request account closure. We may suspend or close access for a material breach, security risk, fraud, unlawful conduct, or when the service is withdrawn. Data is then handled under the retention section of the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Indian law. Please first raise a complaint using the contact details below so it can be resolved promptly. Subject to any mandatory statutory forum, courts with jurisdiction in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu will hear disputes. Relevant electronic records are recognised under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
